The Collection

A few weeks ago I snapped this photo from downtown Cincinnati between 3rd and Pete Rose Way, facing Mt. Adams. At the time I took it I didn't know a blue saucer and set of rings appeared in the pic. If you look closely you can see the blue saucer image is behind a tree branch. I thought that was pretty nifty. Probably around 5" exposure.

Yep. Paint. I used Paint. No shame. Here's the images duplicated and enlarged. Getting scared? Did you eat a "5-layer" product from Taco Bell?

Now things get weird. While shuffling through photos taken from The Mockbee building, I discovered another set of rings below another UFO photo I took sometime in the summer 2011. I estimate a 8"-12" exposure.

And another set of rings from the front side of The Mockbee building.

So what do you think? Personally, I don't contest the reality of the images, whatever they are. The geometry of the rings is incredible and the fact that they're all on different planes is just...well.. puzzling. If there's one thing you can believe in, it's that I'll be out there freezing my strudel taking more pictures.

Awesome old stairs on Central, down from McMicken. Looks like they come from the original subway plan, early 20th century. I bet the tires been there for 15 years.

Motrpub was packed last night for Zachary Burns Band and The Sundresses. I got free beer for closing friend's tabs, is how crowded it was. "Final Friday's" in OTR are killing it. Too bad it's only once a month.

Stoops on City Transportation for closing off part of Court Street for nothing on a Friday, (poison gas?) There's a lot of places to eat, but parking is $2/hour. I think more money could be made from healthy businesses if parking cost were cut in half. I got lunch from a completely dark Chinese restaurant from and old guy wearing a Boy Scout baseball cap, which sorta resembles a Chinese flag. The place was extra cool cause there were 4 dudes chillin' out front and some quiet guys in a dark booth in the back corner. I forgot to check for utensils and ended up eating chicken and vegetables on the sidewalk with my hands as there were no benches. The food was fantastic.
Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello? Anybody there? there? there? there? there?

Auburn, City Barn-Northside

Tri-bean soup with peppered bacon. Looks kinda gross.
That looks allllright.
Hills and ice equal car lovin.
New apartments in background on Ohio Ave.

Hood
Found this mansion at the end of Bigelow street. Looked somewhat rundown/dark.

It'd be cool to see the hilly urban landscape during its hay-day.

View from porch of apartments, looking down Sycamore. The area has the most potential based on proximity to OTR/downtown, but probably won't see new development for some time. A neighborhood just to the right at the bottom of the hill is one of the worst in the city. I wonder if many of the buildings collapsed from landslides leaving it relatively vacant feeling.

Hearty bean soup serves well on a cool January evening. I think somebody played someone else in a sport, that's neat.

Basement show at the "city barn".
The stage

There's always a stupid level of timidness at live shows, but whatever, I just like going to other people's basements.
